Good to know
Common questions
How long is a term?
A term is twelve weeks. You pay per term for one weekly lesson, so you always know the cost up front.
Do you teach adults?
Yes. Many of our students are adults, from complete beginners to people picking an instrument back up after years away.
What age can children start?
We take students from five years old. For the very young, a taster lesson helps us find the right start.
Do I need my own instrument?
Not to begin. Violins can be hired through the school for ten pounds a month. For other instruments we can point you to good starter options.
What happens at the concert?
Twice a year students perform at the Kings Hall. Taking part is free and always optional, but it gives everyone something to aim for.
